Robyn & Andrew

South Farm
Royston

In the picturesque setting of South Farm, I had the joy of photographing the sweetest duo, Robyn and Andrew and their adorable fur baby, Obi, who totally stole the spotlight! With it’s bright yellow house, big blue door, quirky colourful caravans and the cutest piglets, sheep, and peacocks roaming around, South Farm was the perfect wedding backdrop for the animal loving couple. Robyn's green thumb was in full swing as she grew her own flowers, and together with Foxglove Florals, they created fiery red and orange bouquets that were out of this world! DIY was the name of the game with a homemade cake, artsy candlestick holders, and sloe gin favors. Robyn's crochet-style dress from Pure Couture was pure boho perfection, making her look like a total goddess, along with a helping hand from the fabulous hair and makeup dream team, Ugly Duckling Cosmetics and Nia Sibley Hairdressing. I can't even begin to describe how much I loved every single moment of shooting this wedding. The love, the creativity, and the joy was overwhelming!

Personal Highlight:

Narrowing down a personal highlight is no easy task, as I cherished countless moments throughout the day, however, one stood out from the rest. When the couple was all set to tie the knot in the Summer House overlooking the pond, guess who showed up as the surprise guests? A bunch of little ducklings! They waddled in, all cute and curious to witness the marriage! I couldn't decide if I should snap pics of the bride and groom or the little fluffy wedding crashers!

I’m not really even sure where to begin… I’ve waited a week before starting to write this email because I thought I’d be able to do it without crying but apparently not. I emailed Binky about two years ago before we even had a venue to try and book you guys. She must have been very confused as obviously that made no sense at all… but I had looked far and wide and I knew that no one else would compare. As soon as the venue was booked we locked you in. After reading reviews I had an inkling that you would also be an excellent person to help make us feel relaxed as we both hate having our photos taken . My god did I underestimate you. From the moment you arrived you brought the enthusiasm of a kid at Christmas. It was an absolute joy to watch you work and get so excited about what you do, every time you caught a good angle, emotion or a duckling  -They might have actually been the only thing that upstaged you on the day!? While reminiscing (this consumes 90% of every day now) Andrew said how you were like a Maid of Honour and a Best Man rolled into one… but I honestly think you were so much more. We couldn’t be more grateful for all of the little bits (and big bits) that you did in-between to keep the day running smoothly for us. You truly are one of life’s gems, and I couldn’t be happier that the universe (or Instagram) sent you to us to help make last Thursday the best day of our lives.”

If you’ve not yet booked your wedding photographer then please get in touch! We’d love to hear more about your wedding!
